On Saturday 22nd April 2017, Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) will play host to the 4th International Children’s Climate Change Conference. This conference is a one day affair bringing together 300 child delegates from over 40 schools, different nationalities and backgrounds and representing different countries across the globe.
The theme for the 2017 conference is: Environmental and Climate Literacy
It is in all simplicity a search for solutions to the Climate Change problem by the children for a planet that they one day will be in charge of.
A non governamental organisation that has pioneered a model that seeks to assign proprietary interest of a green future to the children.Founded in Uganda in May 2012, the organisation has invested passion, time and resources in nuturing children to plant trees and take care of their environment in their schools , homes and communities. It organises the only Green Festival in Africa where over 10 thousand school going children gather twice a year to celebrate their sustainability and greening efforts. The organisation recently launched its little hands go green arm in Rwanda.
