‘Towards ASEAN Engagement and Sustainable Development’

The environmental problems are one of the world concerning issues affecting not only the nature and other creatures, but also the human society and health. Impact assessment is a tool to assess the effects of natural phenomena and human activities which will have an effect to the environment and health, and then hope that we can find ways to prevent or diminish adverse effects and enhance positive effects. This is to ensure that we will able to send the good environment and the natural resources to our next generation.
This is an honor to organize the First ASEAN Conference on Impact Assessment and Mitigation themed ‘Towards ASEAN Engagement and Sustainable Development’ during November 23 - 25, 2015. It is expected that there will be around 500 participants from all over the world to attend.
The participants will have chances to share their experiences with our world class and local speakers. Moreover, there are pre-congress workshops which participants will inspect the sites and learn from the true stories. The impact assessment program will include Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
The hosts of the congress are the National Health Commission Office of Thailand and Naresuan University which is located at Phitsanulok Province. Phitsanulok is one of the new tourist destination promoted by the Tourist Authority of Thailand which is rich of the environment and natural resources. Moreover, Phitsanulok is also an ancient city, there are lots of temple and pagoda from ancient time.
