ASSURING SUSTAINABILITY via University with REsearch 2013

Background & Goal
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) is committed to implementing education for sustainable development (ESD) within her organization and beyond, as well as to assure that initiatives are relevant to the university, the network and the sustainable future. Subsequently, PSU has become a member of the Promotion of Sustainability in Postgraduate Education and Research Network (ProSPER.Net) under the United Nations University-Institute for Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS) in 2012.
With PSU's commitment to ASEAN sustainability which has been realized through the help of competent partners including Walailak University (WU), Thaksin University (TSU), and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), therefore, PSU, WU, TSU, and USM decided to initiate and host international conference on "ASsuring Sustainability via University with REsearch: Towards a sustainable earth system environment in Asia Pacific and beyond (ASSURE 2013)". ASSURE 2013 is mainly targeted to not only gather invaluable experiences but also drive a regional networking for research and graduate studies in earth system environment and sustainability science through sharing and collaborating among experts and academics from different countries.
Goal
ASSURE 2013 is well-designed to provide an international platform to formulate an active multinational universities network committed to active cellavoration to strengthen sustainable development in ASEAN and beyond via synergy between research activities and postgraduate education.
