World Teak Conference 2013

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our most cordial invitation and the warmest welcome to all of you to the World Teak Conference 2013 being organized during 25th March-30th March 2013 at Centara Grand Bangkok Convention and Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand.
This conference is organized in collaboration with teak specialist organizations, for instance, The Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG), TEAKNET and FAO. Each organization has a long history with the main objectives emphasizing teak plantation and conservation in Thailand and South-East Asia.
World Teak Conference 2013 will be responsible for a wide coverage of topics by keynote speakers, the main focus being on 4 interesting symposia. The topics emphasized are 1) Genetics, Silviculture and Utilization 2) Environments & Climate Change and Carbon Trading 3) Economic & Investments and 4) Rural Development. Besides the participation in the excellent symposia and discussion sessions which encourage exchange of ideas and sharing experiences, the participants will have the opportunity to meet high-level industry leaders, academicians, developers and decision makers from the region and various parts of the world.
Furthermore, in the above conference, the delegates will have the opportunity to visit the host city, Bangkok, which is one of the world's favourite tourist destinations. In addition to its unique culture and exquisite architecture, the capital of Thailand has much to offer to the conference delegates.
